DURHAM, NH- On Saturday night in Durham, the Bridgeport Purple Knights picked up the victory with a 196.350, edging UNH’s 195.800 and Maryland’s 194.875, as well as Brown’s 191.575, but there was plenty of good news for all teams involved. UNH and Maryland both set season highs, and UB set a new season high and team record, breaking the new record already set this year.
On the Vault, Monica Mesalles scored a 9.925, Maryland’s Ally Krikorian notched a 9.9, UNH’s Alison Carr, UB’s Kamri Riles, and Katy Dodds of UMD all had 9.85s, and Wildcat Jillian Hudson rounded out the scores about 9.8 with her 9.825. Michelle Shnayder had Brown’s highest vault score of the day with her 9.775.
On the Uneven Bars, Austyn Fobes of UNH swung to a 9.9, Lissette La Fex scored a 9.875 for UB, as did Maryland’s Karen Tang. Erika Rudiger of UNH set a new personal best tying her teammate Danielle Reibold with a 9.85. Jen Aucoin also set a new personal best with her 9.825 tied with Sasha Tsikhanovich of UB, and Kyra Phillips of Maryland. Emily Turik of Bridgeport and Dodds scored 9.8s too. Kasey Haas had a 9.75 for Brown’s highest score of the day.
Kayla Gray of UNH tied a team record when she scored a 9.9, as did Sasha Tsikhanovich and Emily Repko both of Bridgeport. Mesalles was right behind with a 9.875. Briana Melander’s 9.75 was Maryland’s best score of the day, Julia Meyer had Brown’s best which was a 9.725.
Repko and Mesalles scored 9.9s on Floor as did Dodds. Krikorian’s 9.875 was right behind them. Gray and Hannah Barile had personal bests for UNH of 9.85 which tied UB’s Jessica Watts, Tsikhanovich, and Caitlin Perry. Fobes, Shnayder, and Stephanie Giameo of Maryland all had 9.8s too.
Mesalles would take the All Around with a 39.450. Shnayder was the lone other All Arounder and she posted a 38.825 as well.
UB’s best event was a 49.350 on Floor, but they held things together on the dangerous beam posting a 49.1. Over on Bars a 49.025 was their reward, with Vault being their lowest scoring event despite Mesalles high scoring, though even that was a 48.875.
New Hampshire thrived on Bars posted a 49.2, and finished strong on Floor with their 49.000. Vault was a 48.850 only a little bit behind UB, though Beam, came in at 48.75 though no falls were counted.
Maryland posted their best score of the day on Floor as well with a 49.075. They also had a nice day on Bars with their 49.000. Vault brought them a 48.775, and Beam was at 48.025 after a fall had to be counted.
Brown was also in high spirits thanks to a 48.325 on Floor, and a 48.125 on Vault. They had to count 1 fall on beam, and 2 on Bars, though there was still solid performances in those rotations to keep things stabilized.
