Morgantown, WV- National powerhouse Florida was one of three teams to visit the WVU Coliseum Sunday afternoon as they were joined by West Virginia’s fellow EAGL opponents New Hampshire and George Washington. The result was a 196.875 score for the Gators to take 1st, West Virginia placed second with a 195.225, New Hampshire had a 194.400, and George Washington a 193.050.
WVU’s Tina Maloney won vault by hitting a personal best 9.900. Florida’s Nicole Ellis and Maranda Smith each had 9.875s as did UNH’s Chelsea Steinberg. Third place finishers were WVU’s Amy Bieski and UF’s Mackenzie Caquatto.
On the Bars, Caquatto took 1st with a 9.925. Bieski’s 9.875 was a team record and personal best. She tied with Ellis for 2nd. Emily Kerwin set a personal best 9.825 for WVU, Marissa King of Flordia and Ali Carr of UNH also tied her.
Over on the Beam, Caquatto’s 9.975 was good for 1st, teammates Elizabeth Mahlich and Alaina Johnson had 9.875s, in third place was Hope Sloanhoffer of WVU with a 9.850.
Marissa King and Ashanee Dickerson scored 9.875’s for the Gators to take first on Floor. Sloanhoffer placed second with a 9.850 along with Randy Stageberg of UF. Bieski and UNH’s Austyn Fobes had 9.825s for third place.
In the All Around, Bieski took it with a personal best team record of 39.325. Second was Dickerson with a 39.225, and third Betsy Zander of George Washington who scored a 38.775.
