Women’s Hockey: Quinnipiac knocks off BC in OT

HAMDEN, CT- The #4 ranked Boston College Eagles found themselves falling to the Quinnipiac Bobcats Tuesday night in a game that featured no scoring until the last few minutes of the game. Boston College goalie Corinne Boyles faced only 9 shots in the first two periods and saved them all, as Quinnipiac goalie Chelsea Laden faced 19 through 2 and saved them as well. By the end of the game Boyles would face 9 more shots and Laden another 15. Late in the third period with overtime looming the Eagles stormed in on Laden at close range and in the scrum in the net, Emily Pfalzer got it by the keeper assisted by Emily Field and Alex Carpenter.
Women’s Volleyball: Boston College v. Colgate

NEW HAVEN, CT- On the second day of the Yale Invitational, Ryan Baker’s Colgate Raiders clashed with Coach Chris Campbell’s Boston College Eagles. It would end up being a sweep for ‘gate 3-0 to take the match.
Set 1 opened with Colgate building a quick lead, Caitlin Cremin’s service ace opened the match, Lindsay Young tipped the ball over the net, later Kayle Dougherty picked up a kill, and following a good defensive save by Diane Seely, the Raiders were up to a 7-3 advantage. BC’s Tsvetelina Dureva scored a kill with her smash during this time though some Raider miscues let the Eagles back in and the score was soon 7-6. The teams traded some points and Colgate’s Kenzie Hume’s cross court slam put the lead at 3, BC’s Alex Fitzmorris returned fire, but Colgate’s Dougherty and Kaylee Fifer each had spikes to put the set at 13-8. The lead grew to 19-9 and Boston College called time.

CHESTNUT HILL, MA-The Providence Friars traveled down to Boston College to take on the Eagles Friday night. The result would be a 2 to 2 tie leading to a shootout, which BC would win on a Allie Thunstrom score in a tough fought matchup at Comte Forum. In goal for the Friars Genevieve Lacasse, and for the Eagles, Corinne Boyles.
Boston College tops Boston University 4-1 in Hockey Saturday.

BOSTON, MA- With the crowd of BU faithful packed in tightly to Agganis Arena, with a cluster of gold clad BC fans down in the corner, the traditional rivalry was renewed. In goal for the Eagles, John Muse, and for the Terriers, Kieran Millan.

Boston College ties UConn Women’s Hockey

STORRS, CT- The Boston College Eagles, long time rivals of the UConn Huskies for reasons on and off the playing surface, arrived in Connecticut on a November 14th and the two teams held each other scoreless through three periods and an overtime for a 0-0 tie. The netminders were Kiera Kingston in goal for BC, and Alexandra Garcia for the Huskies. It wasn’t until a shootout before the puck made it into the net when BC’s Allie Thunstrom backhanded a shot into the left corner of the goal, the only point of the shootout as well.
